The Department eagerly anticipates the construction of a new Animal Sciences complex, scheduled for occupancy in 2017. The facilities will include the new Creighton Hall of Animal Sciences, housing state-of- the-art research laboratories, classrooms, conference space and offices, and the adjoining Land O’ Lakes Experiential Learning Center and Purina Pavilion, which will include a new meats laboratory and animal arena. The new facilities will consolidate all Animal Sciences faculty and staff, along with scientists in the USDA-ARS Livestock Behavior Unit, and other supporting agencies, within a single complex, maximizing interactions and progress towards our missions.
