Assistant Professor of Agriculture in Animal Science

Wilmington College is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Agriculture in Animal Science at our main campus in Wilmington, Ohio. This is a nine month, tenure track position to begin the Fall semester 2021. The department values innovative teaching and faculty committed to engaging pedagogies, collaborative and interdisciplinary endeavors, global perspectives, and providing hands on experiences to our students on our academic farm. The candidate will teach courses in Computer Applications in Agriculture, Food Science, Careers in Vet Medicine, Beef Science, Poultry Science, Sheep Science, Swine Science, and Meat Animal Science. The candidate will also assist in the department’s development of a food systems and sustainability centered curriculum by working on developing courses in animal science and food system management and species classes. Willingness to teach in multiple modes and delivery formats is preferred. Previous teaching experience at a 4 year institution, MSc required, Ph.D. preferred. US farm experience desired.
