The Animal Science Department offers B.S. degrees in Animal Science and Dairy Science and minors in Equine Science, Meat Food Science, Poultry Science, Range Resource Management, and Dairy Science. The College offers an M.S. degree in Agriculture with a specialization in Animal Science. The Department manages commercial herds and flocks of dairy and beef cattle, horses, sheep, goats, swine, and poultry on over 6,000 acres with the support of several new facilities, including the recently completed Oppenheimer Family Equine Center. Graduates of Animal Science and Dairy Science are prepared for meaningful careers in the animal industries, allied professions, and graduate studies.
