Assistant/Associate Professor (Animal Science)
Work Location: Hill Farm Research Station (Homer, LA). Domicile will be Homer and successful candidate will conduct animal science research and extension activities. The Hill Farm Research Station is in north central Louisiana and is the most northern station in the state. The station is situated in the hills of the Upper Coastal Plain on predominately sandy soils. The station contains 1,400 acres of land with approximately 50% of the land area devoted to beef cattle, pasture, and hay production. Approximately 200 mature cows along with calves will be available for use in research. Poultry, forage, and forestry research utilizes the remainder of the acreage. The station is staffed and equipped for animal science research, and a forage agronomist has research responsibil
