Postdoctoral Fellowship - Alternatives to Antibiotics in Swine
A post-doctoral scientist position is available in the Animal Biosciences and Biotechnology Laboratory (ABBL) at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) in Beltsville, MD. As antimicrobial resistance becomes a more significant problem worldwide, the USDA is actively investigating alternative to antibiotics in swine that promote growth performance and disease resistance. The participant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team (microbiology, immunology, physiology, and bioinformatics) to identify and develop alternatives to antimicrobials and test their efficacy in swine utilizing in vivo and in vitro techniques.
