The incumbent serves as Research Animal Scientist/Physiologist (Animal) in the Livestock Behavior Research Unit, Midwest Area, West Lafayette, Indiana. The Livestock Behavior Research Unit is co-located on the Purdue University campus and housed within the Department of Animal Sciences. The incumbent will conduct research on how stress and management practices of poultry, dairy cattle, and/or swine affect behavior and physiology and its relationship to animal welfare and productivity. The incumbent will initiate and develop research toward understanding the relationship between stress, behavior, and on-farm management practices.
