Research Molecular Biologist/Geneticist (Animals)/Animal Scientist
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Plant Genetics Research Unit (PGRU) in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Research Molecular Biologist//Geneticist (Animals)/Animal Scientist. The scientist will work in a multi-disciplinary team necessary to conduct research toward development of pigs or poultry with improved traits of interest to the swine and/or poultry industry using gene editing techniques. The scientists will use gene editing and other technologies to systematically alter DNA sequences predicted to improve traits to cause beneficial changes in poultry and pig production and test these changes in vitro and in vivo where warranted.
