In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Washington State University – Livestock Reproductive Physiology with the rank of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.
Washington State University (WSU) Department of Animal Sciences seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in reproductive physiology of livestock (75% research, 25% academic appointment) to join the Department by July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will seek to investigate research in male or female reproductive physiology. The candidate will have an interest in conducting fundamental and applied research and instruction of undergraduate and graduate students in courses that reflect their area of expertise.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a strong externally funded research program and publication record
Teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses on topics central to the Animal Sciences teaching mission
Participating in service at the department, college, and university levels
Required qualifications:
PhD in animal science, biosciences or closely related field
Expertise in female or male livestock reproductive physiology
First author peer-reviewed research publication(s) in livestock reproduction
Preferred qualifications
Expertise in livestock reproduction in multiple species
Demonstrated success in extramural research funding
Successful development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses
Excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary communication skills
Expertise in interdisciplinary research
