The Ruminant Beef Nutritionist plays a key role in supporting Devenish’s beef nutrition programs by providing technical expertise, customer support, and product development insights. This position involves formulating diets, evaluating competitive products, and assisting in operational efficiencies. Additionally, the role supports sales efforts by identifying customer needs, recommending solutions, and expanding business opportunities. Collaboration with marketing, sales, and technical teams is essential for product innovation and market differentiation. The Nutritionist will also lead monthly beef meetings and contribute to research initiatives, ensuring Devenish remains a leader in ruminant nutrition.
Technical & Administrative Support:
Develop expertise in the nutritional aspects and technical value of all Devenish technologies.
Collaborate with administrative and operations teams to enhance customer service, production, and logistics efficiency.
Assist in formulating customer diets, rations, and closeout reports as needed.
Research and evaluate product offerings in comparison to competitors.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.
Field Support & Sales:
Support and expand the existing customer base while identifying new business opportunities.
Assess customer needs and recommend Devenish technologies or services to add value and drive revenue growth.
Stay informed on competitor products and develop differentiation strategies for Devenish offerings.
Assist in marketing Devenish technologies to the ruminant market, both directly and through Account Managers.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.
Research & Product Development:
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Technical teams to develop accurate and compelling marketing materials.
Collaborate with the Nutrition and Product Development Teams to identify and drive new product innovation opportunities.
Lead monthly beef meetings scheduled on the first Friday of each month.
Perform other duties as reasonably required
Master (required) PhD (preferred) in Animal Science Ruminant Nutrition or closely related field. Five years field experience preferred
